For Woodwork I animated & directed this piece for Phillips.

Philips knows a long history as it was founded in the late 19th century in the Netherlands. initially focused on the light bulb industry, Philips never stopped inventing and lucky for us, Senseo coffee machines came into existence.

Inspired by the neo-pop artwork of Romero Britto, Philips chose to collaborate with the Brazilian artist; resulting in a Senseo limited edition series.

In collaboration with Iris worldwide, we created an animated video in which we aim to capture the artists’ journey as he brings the Senseo limited edition series to life. We created a graphic animated hand that draws simple lines and patterns and we used the ‘heart’ as a key motif to express the association between britto and senseo in a graphic manner.

End result, an introduction to britto’s neo-pop art transitioning from a stylized play of typography and motion graphics to a 3d dance off between the machines.
a dynamic and fun animated video to watch!
